Welcome!

What Can You Expect at PCB?

The Worship Service

Our Sunday worship is fairly traditional, but not stuffy. It includes hymns and prayers, music and confession, a Proclamation, a time of giving and a benediction. There is a tri-fold flow to our worship as we: Assemble in God’s Name, Listen for God’s Word, and then Respond to God’s Word.

Coming and Going

As you enter the building volunteers from the congregation will greet you and then as you enter the sanctuary an usher will give you a bulletin with the order of worship for the day which allows everyone to share fully in the service. You’ll notice an * at each point where we stand. You will find a Hymnal and Bible in the pews. A full detail of the service will be on the monitors. Following the benediction, you may either remain seated for the organ postlude or make your way out. The pastors will be in the narthex to greet everyone. You are invited to our coffee hour in the Fellowship Hall following worship.

You Will Not Be Embarrassed

At the church, you will be our respected and welcomed guest. You will not be singled out, asked to stand before the congregation, or to come forward.

Parking

There is plenty of parking in the front and on the sides of the church.

Accessiblity

The sanctuary and Fellowship Hall are fully handicapped accessible. T-coil is enabled for hearing devices.

What to Wear

There is no dress code at PCB!  Come as you are. You will see a variety of clothing styles from suits and dresses to slacks and jeans. The important thing is to come and engage in worship.

Communion

On the first Sunday of the month, the service will include Communion. Our understanding of the sacrament is that all who trust in Jesus are invited to partake. Children are also invited to participate at whatever age their parents decide. Please feel welcome to participate or refrain as you wish.

Children and Sunday School

Children are always welcome and encouraged to attend services. They may stay for the entire service or join our Church School classes. If your child would like to go to Church School, ask one of the other parents and they will help you find the correct classroom.

The Offering of our Gifts

Presbyterian worship includes a time for returning to God our tithes and offering. Collections placed in the plate support the ministry and mission of this church and the church across the world. Guests are welcome but certainly not obligated to contribute.
