This September we are excited to offer Messy Church at PCB.

What is Messy Church?: It is simply faith, food and fun for all ages!

Despite the name, Messy Church isn’t about making a mess (although that may sometimes happen).  It is welcoming, interactive and intergenerational.  It’s church that meets you where you are- in the real, sometimes messy, everyday moments of life.

Messy Church is made up of an encouraging, warm welcome, with several themed stations that all ages visit to engage in crafts, activities, and games, and then a brief celebration (worship) time.

A foundational ingredient of Messy Church is to gather around a table for a meal and build relationships with each other, God, and the world.

Come find out what Messy Church is all about on September 13th from 5:00-6:30PM.

Mark your calendars now and watch your emails for details on how you can sign up.

Our very generous PCB member, Berry LeCompte, has invited us to come to the LeCompte Kalaway Cup Polo Matches – Chicagoland’s largest polo event!
We have 35 tickets which are available on a first-come-first-served basis; sign up in Fellowship Hall.  Berry has invited us to sit in his private tent area.  The first match starts at noon; plan to arrive by 11:30.  Parking is free on site.  The last match is usually over around 4:30.  Location is the Oakwood Farm Polo Field at 350 Bateman Road in Barrington Hills.  Berry’s tent is on the south side of the field with an Oakwood Farm banner, close to the announcer’s stand.  Bring your own folding chair and beverages (alcohol allowed!)  Berry provides “basic foods” to his guests but you can supplement with additional food if you wish.

Andrew and his amazing musical theater group are performing the Broadway musical “Swing”, which is an all-singing, all-dancing musical revue celebrating the great music, culture & dance of the 1930s and 1940s. You won’t want to miss this! Performance is at 2pm. You can buy tickets on your own or sign up in Fellowship Hall to sit in our PCB block in the center section. Reservations for our PCB block are due by Sunday, Sept 13th. If you would like to join us for lunch at the Bonefish Grill (close to the theater) before the performance, sign up in Fellowship Hall. Lunch is off the menu; separate checks.

You can wear your team jersey to church that morning and then come to Moretti’s that afternoon to watch the game! More details coming soon!

The Music on the Hill ’26-’27 season begins with a wonderful concert of Beatles-inspired jazz tunes, performed by Chicago jazz musicians saxophonist Chris Madsen, and vocalist Alyssa Allgood. Dinner precedes performance, sign-up in Fellowship Hall.

A very popular PCB event every October! Come & play an easy-to-learn and very fun card game, Capture the Flag! Delicious dinner included; cash bar. Costumes welcome but not required. So much fun! Details to come!
