S M A R T Goals
Welcome to the Presbyterian Church of Barrington’s home page for its various committees. On these pages you will find information about the various committees, who chairs the committee, who their members are, and what their focus is as defined by their SMART Goals.
The graphic below briefly explains what SMART Goals are:
To ensure that each committee focuses its attention and resources on what is most important, each committee has SMART Goals, along with the Session and PCB itself. The SMART Goals are meant to be a fluid document, updated regularly by the committee. Once a goal is completed, it is removed and replaced with another.
SMART Goals are designed to work in conjunction with the goals of PCB. They are supportive of each other with committee SMART Goals dovetailing into the SMART Goals of PCB. In order that the Session is kept updated on a committee’s goals, every monthly Session meeting has up to two committees report on their SMART Goals progress to the Session, issues they may be running into, as well as any help they may need.
