PCB Children’s Education Milestones Program

The Milestones Program – 2024-2025

The Milestones Ministry recognizes important steps in the life of faith

Classes meet on Sundays at 9 am, followed by recognition during the service. Kids are welcome to participate in their grade level milestone and any milestones they may have previously missed. If you have any questions email PCBKids@pcbarrington.org

  • To provide children with information and experiences as they grow in faith
  • To equip parents to be involved in the Christian Education of their children
  • To recognize and celebrate milestone events with the congregation
  • To assist the congregation in fulfilling the vows made at baptism to “help you know and follow Jesus Christ”

Kindergarten

September 15th

“Worship with Me” for kindergarten aged children and their parents.

  • Orientation to worship

  • Presentation of Children in Worship books during the worship service

1st Grade

October 13th

“Read with Me”

  • Bible Education Workshop

  • Learn about the Bible and how to use it

  • Each 1st grader receives a Beginner’s Bible and is recognized during service.

2nd Grade

November 10th

“WELCOME ME”

  • Communion Education Workshop

  • Learn about the sacrament of communion and an orientation to corporate worship

  • “Welcome to the Table” prayer and recognition during the worship service

3rd Grade

January 26th

“Pray with Me”

  • Prayer Education Workshop

  • Learn about different kinds of prayer and why it is the cornerstone to our faith

  • Prayer presentation will take place during worship

4th Grade

February 9th

“Study with Me”

  • Bible Education Workshop

  • Learn about the NRSV Student Bible and how to use it.

  • Presentation of Bibles will take place during worship

5th Grade

March 9th

“Walk with Me”

  • Baptismal Education Workshop 

  • Learn about the sacrament of Baptism and the significance of confirming your own faith.

  • Recognition will take place during worship.
