November At Home Sunday School
(4 years to 5th grade)
The November “At Home Sunday School” series is underway. Hope everyone is enjoying the gratitude challenges and activities. Supply kits were mailed out to all elementary Sunday School children next week. Please let Miss Dana know if you have not received it by Friday the 6th.
December At Home Sunday School
(4 years to 5th grade)
In December we’ll be starting the Wander of Christmas series. Due to the size of the supply kits for this series, the kits will be hand delivered or can be picked up at the church if preferred. Kits are free and available to any interested families, but families must sign up in advance to receive one. Please email Dana at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for a supply kit.
At home Sunday School packets are being sent to children ages 4 years to 5th grade that are currently in PCB’s directory, however the program is open to any child who would like to participate. We are happy to provide extra supplies if an older or younger sibling would like to join in the fun, just let us know how many extras you’ll need. Also, email Miss Dana if you have a friend, relative or neighbor who would like to participate.
PCB At-Home Mission Opportunity
Has Covid made you want to tie one on? Well, here’s your chance … to tie a blanket. 🙂
The PCB Youth Workshop is preparing tie blanket kits to any family who would like to make a blanket to donate to Barrington Giving Day. Barrington Giving Day is one of our church’s mission projects and provides necessities for in-need District 220 families. Wish list items for its upcoming winter event include cold-weather gear, blankets and toys. Last year our youth donated a number of blankets to Giving Day and we’d love to provide them again this year.
Tie blankets are easy to make and just require cutting and knotting. If you’d like to receive a kit, please contact Debra Johnson at email@example.com or 312-524-4055. We’ll deliver the kit to you including instructions on how to make it. Perhaps something to work on together after the Thanksgiving dishes have been cleared?
Look forward to blanketing Giving Day with warmth from PCB!
Thank you to all who have so generously donated to Sunday flowers going forward. We are all anxious to return to normal in our church and daily lives. Even though our service will be online for a bit longer we will have lovely flower arrangements in our sanctuary, donated by our members.
I will be posting more dates on this site as the Sunday’s are filled. As in the past we would like a donation of $50. Please make your checks out to the church, writing Chancel Guild in the memo. Mail to the church or put in office.
The following dates are still available. Please email me your choice of date plus your dedication for that Sunday. The Deacons are taking our Sunday flowers to those who need some cheer. If you would like to take home your flowers please let me know and I will ready them for you.

Meals with Wheels Volunteers Needed
Please consider joining the ranks of our faithful Meals with Wheels drivers. The need for Meals with Wheels is greater than ever during the Pandemic. Procedures have been modified to avoid person-to-person contact.
Our church serves with other churches and civic organizations to deliver Meals with Wheels to seniors in our community. We have two days a month for which our church is responsible. You only sign up for dates that work in your schedule. The amount of time required to deliver a route is about an hour.
If you are available to help or would like more information, please call Audrey Helminiak (847-331-3621) or Angie Smith (847-404-7430).
