Now that I am a Deacon, I can truly understand their importance in our church along with the ministers and congregation during a difficult time. Our family was grateful to have their love and support over a year and a half ago.
Our sweet daughter, Amy Lanning Becerra, age 38, passed away due to an infection after she received her second heart transplant. She had such a zest for life, shared love and enthusiasm with others, and was an advocate for organ donation.
While going through this rough period, our wonderful Deacons, Susan and Carol, made
many calls, delivered beautiful flowers, sent cards, and offered meals. Their thoughtfulness was a blessing to our family!
Our ministers, Pastor Joe and Kate, opened their arms in kindness and patience to Ed and our family while we planned Amy’s service. We were able to incorporate her favorite Bible verses, Hymns, Ed’s slide show to music and the Barrington Children’s Choir. Amy’s love shined through the beautiful music! Our church family continued to share thoughtfulness by continuing to be there for us. Their love is still present! Thank you to everyone! God Bless you! Quin Lanning
