Deacon Article by Nancy Heath
As this article is appearing in the enewsletter, Barrie and I will be on an Alaskan cruise in celebration on our 50th wedding anniversary. We were married in the Presbyterian Church of Barrington on August 24, 1968 by the Rev. Vic Brown. Over the years this church has been a very important part of our lives together. We have had baptisms and confirmations. The Rev. John Schmidt saw us through my mother’s funeral. Our two daughters were married by the Rev. Dan Spike. The people of this church have seen us through our joys and sorrows. We are very blessed to have been cared for so lovingly by so many.
We have seen so many dear people come and go. Each has enriched our lives together. There have been ups and downs to be sure, but together and with God’s help, we have made our way. God is the constant. His love and joy rejoices with us. His love and hope lifts us and gives us strength and peace. We are grateful for our many blessings, our children and grandchildren, our family and friends, and for this church and all of you who have shared your lives with us.
Blessings to each of you,
Nancy Heath
