Back home
Our trip is done, and we are safely back in Barrington. The last days were a success, completing all our tasks to at least a point where the next work teams could continue with ease. We had success with work projects, fun in Charleston on our way back, and a safe trip early Sunday morning.

There are a lot more pictures, and many stories to share. We would like to invite you to join us on August 5th at 9am, when the Mission Team lead Worship and share our experiences - those we touched on already, and many we are saving for you later!

Sorry, no new updates...

We had power issues (thunderstorms, lightning, power outages, and a disconnected Internet portal) yesterday, and clean up concerns tonight, so have no photo or story uploads at this time.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we will be in Charleston, so if we get time and a connection, I will send something. Otherwise, we'll figure something out after we return.

Day 4

Today was our rest and relaxation day, we visited Bluestone State Park where we took our sweet time and enjoyed the nice weather and scenery. Some of us went swimming, a few of us went on a small hike to Overlook Point.

Many of us were able to enjoy a pontoon ride and swimming in Bluestone Lake. The whole group also bonded and we are now closer than when we began the trip just a few days ago.

We really had a great time with a barbeque of hamburgers, brats, and Italian sausage, and are now exhausted so need to get ready for the next day of work tomorrow.

Day 3
Our work has taken on a rhythm, and many things are happening a lot smoother. We continued with our VBS program, and are trying different things to see how things can run smoothly.

Our wheelchair ramp has been completed from yesterday, and a new one begun at a different home.

This second house also has a very bad roof on which we removed all the old shingles and tar, and replaced rotted plywood. We will be completing this ramp and shingling the roof the rest of our trip.
