| Day 2 | |
| The first day of the week was hectic. The
VBS crew jumped right in and started their Vacation Bible School at 9am.
The two work crews scrambled around to organize the start of the
projects.
One group drove out to a site where they started working on a wheelchair accessible ramp for an elderly woman's home. Digging posts and cutting and measuring wood, along with removing some rusted metalwork, were the first tasks that needed to be done. Another group helped prepare for painting a room/hallway in our host church. Our VBS group, as well as running the
Bible School, is undertaking this project. Although the progress might
seem little to some, today helped us prepare for the rest of the week's
work here in Welch, West Virginia. |

The rest of the day was spent organizing, setting up for our VBS (Vacation Bible
School) program, shopping for our meals, relaxing, and getting
acquainted with the town. We look forward to beginning our mission
projects tomorrow. |
