Endowment Fund

What is the Endowment Fund?
The Endowment Fund was established in December, 2000, pursuant to a resolution of the Trustees and with the approval of Session. The Fund is comprised of gifts given to support the missions and ministries of The Presbyterian Church of Barrington. These gifts are immediately invested, with no allowed withdrawals of principal.

Leaving a legacy

How can I leave a legacy?

  • By making a bequest in your will or living trust
  • By naming The Presbyterian Church of Barrington as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or IRA
  • By establishing a Charitable Remainder Trust or other plan with lifetime income
  • By giving gifts during your lifetime

  • Stocks/Bonds and IRA's
  • Real Estate
  • Life Insurance
  • Bequests and Devises in Will

Why give to the endowment fund?

  • The knowledge that your gift will bless others long after it has been given.
  • Being faithful to God, who has given you all that you have.
  • Help insure that the mission, ministry and programs of the church will continue.
  • Gifts to the funds can provide income and estate tax relief.
  • Capital gains taxes may be reduced if you give appreciated assets.
