We are pleased to announce that Dr. Cliff Nunn, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans, will be our guest preacher on January 28, 2007. He will stay in the Barrington area on January 29th for planning meetings and potential press interviews. Plan to come meet him and hear his amazing story.
Also, plans have been confirmed for members of our congregation to return to New Orleans April 14th to 21st and in October (date to be determined first quarter). Information on the April trip will be available soon, or you may contact Denny McGurer.

Sing-Along
Messiah

December 3, 2006
On December 3rd at 4:00, our church will present a sing-along production of Handel’s masterpiece, The Messiah, as a part of our Sundays-at-Four concert series.
A long-time tradition in many communities, the Messiah Sing-Along is a “first” at The Presbyterian Church of Barrington. We hope to continue the tradition for many years to come.
The concert will include professional instrumentalists and vocalists performing “Part I” of The Messiah as well as an opening presentation by our own Children’s Choir singing advent and Christmas music. Members of the audience are encouraged to sing along for all of the Messiah choruses, but there will be plenty of seating for those who would rather sit and listen. Children are also welcome to sit quietly in the choir loft and listen to part of the concert.
Please bring a score if you have one, or if not, you may purchase one at the door. This concert is a great opportunity for people in the community to visit The Presbyterian Church of Barrington, so be sure to invite your friends and neighbors to join us. Hope to see (and hear!) many of you on the 3rd!
During the concert, child care will be available in the nursery/toddler room for babies and toddlers up to age 3. For older children, there will be advent art activities, videos, computer programs and games in the classrooms downstairs. Following the concert, be sure to come to Fellowship Hall for the annual Advent Dinner. All are welcome. For more information about the dinner, see the November Carillon, Page 6.
